Aricadon

The high king of the pridebloods, defender of the people. Aricadon inheriting a problem from his father has found a solution breeding another problem for himself and his people.


While the orcs have long been an irritation for the vulnerable settlements at the outskirts of the prideblood lands, it was a balanced affair of chassing the small groups of orc raiders down before they became too bold. However, when Aricadon inherited the throne the lords of the prideblood lands where fracturing and a civil war was brewing. Needing to find a common cause for his people, Aricadon demanded that the lords of the lands mend their conflicts and unite in an invasion of the orc lands knowingly provoking the full might of an orc retaliation.


Managing to unite his people in the purge of the orcs from their shared lands, Aricadon now stands with the problem of a land with no direct threats to defend itself against. With his countrys martial class unable to find a means to live in the new reality, the lands of the pridebloods are now seeing the exodus of their best warriors searching for fortune while the worst unable to find other means to sustain themselves turn to banditry.


Despite the authority of his title, Aricadon carries only limited political power within the authonomous domains of his subjects. Each with their own agenda and looking out for their own lands with the emergence of localized trouble, the prideblood lands are becoming more dangerous by the day.


Whether it be powerhungry nobles, disenfranchised warriors or vengeful orc assassins, Aricadon and his family has become the subject of many murderous plots seeking to split the already unstable lands.
