Famous or infamous depending on how you look at him, Cornelius Frigarmer is as enigmatic as the topics he delves into. Often going straight to the most sensitive and delicate matters that most would rather be left unseen or unsaid.
Born to a wealthy family he has since estranged, Cornelius was sent away to study his interests in the most obscure and secretive species persisting throughout the planes mostly as a way for his parents to get rid of him before he brought further shame on them.
Hidden away in the halls of academia, Cornelius delved deep into the dusty tomes and inquisitioned the faculty until they too settled with sending him on an expedition for an in depth study of the orcs of Nivaria and how they've managed to survive the frozen realm in their primitive societies.
By all accounts an annoyance to his team, Cornelius ventured repeatably into the open to question straggling orcs on the road and alerting them to the teams locations so they would have to relocate. To the misfortune, or perhaps fortune of him and his team, this behavior culminated with Cornielus getting captured and enslaved by the warchief. The warchief seeing value in the annoying nature of Cornelius let him run rampant through his camp as his own property, letting the questioning human wander through the camp and annoy the warriors with ceaseless questions and minor annoyances until they got fed up and left the camp just to get away.
With the loss of their war with the Pridebloods, the orcs abandoned their camps in a hurried retreat leaving all unneeded belongings at the camp which included a caged up Cornelius. Working with his paper and quill ceaselessly for this time creating the in-depth encyclopedia on the orcs that he is most renowned for. Cornelius had managed to open the cage as documented by the scavengers that discovered him, but it seems he had no urge to leave his predicament while he was still working on his documentation.
Brought back to the human settlements and unleashed back into civilization, Cornelius realeased his works and became known as the leading expert into the nature and habbits of the orcs with much established knowledge known today credited to him personally.
Content with his works on the orcs, and still aiming to learn more, Cornelius set his sights on the dragonkin. Breaking taboos and breaching common courtesy, there is practically no known realm that houses dragonkin that also doesn't have a story of how Cornelius has caused a diplomatic crisis as well.
Well known for his alternative and arbitrary views on morals and ethics, Cornelius is known to hire the services of a variety of shady elements in his pursuits of knowledge. Cornelius has been the subject of investigation by many law agencies across the planes but with nothing to stick to him he is still under constant investigation, if only to avoid him creating a diplomatic disturbance with dire consequences.
