A renowned warrior of great skill, known in his youth for his abilities of his youth but fallen from grace since getting maimed in battle.
Thragos rise to fame began within his own tribe when as a young child he organized his friends into raider groups stealing poultry from the neighboring farms, gaining him the nickname of "Little Warchief" among the tribe.
As he and his crew grew up into adolescence, there was no honor in raiding the small farms. Instead waylaying the traveling caravans for ivory and gold to construct honor shrines, fighting mostly with their fists and leaving the traders with whatever wasn't useful.
When Thragos got inaugurated as a warrior of his tribe, a feud with the neighboring tribe was underway as their chieftain had kidnapped a highborn bride from Thragos tribe for his son. The battles that followed started with simple assaults and open beatings but soon weapons where involved. Much to the surprise of Thragos, the weapons were not meant for his tribe but because pridebloods had begun to kill orcs on sight that ventured into their domains.
Bad blood washed clean, the marriage between the bride and the chieftains son was approved as an alliance pact as seemingly a new danger had emerged.
Several orc children that had gone on poultry runs had not returned for days, and it was believed that the prideblood vanguard had captured them as means of bargaining them for the orcs to leave the farms alone. However, things escalated when the orc delegation for negotiating returned with their numbers killed or maimed telling tales of how the pridebloods had aims of annihilating the orc society, word spread among all the tribes and a united war against the pridebloods was declared, ceasing all feuds between the clans in favor of uniting against their common enemy.
In the ensuing years, Thragos fought bravely with his companions. However fate would feeble him in battle when his hand was severed by a mighty blow by a prideblood sword. Maimed and still recovering, Thragos was at the camp when the leading warchief was assassinated, leaving a black taint on his soul for his handicap and inability to have done anything when it was needed the most.
As the war was lost, Thragos and other surviving warriors prepared to retreat across the great waterways and into the doomed mountains where their pursuers wouldn't dare follow them. Battling the dangers they encountered even crippled as he were, the last warriors found a way for their people.
Though united in space more than ever, the animosity and resentment between the tribes had caused division between the orcs and to avoid conflicts the tribes isolated themselves in different domains within the Everhollow cavern system.
Continuing to do what he believed best for his tribe, Thragos remained in the camp, raising and training the next generation of warriors so that they may one day avenge their fathers and brothers.
Though not vilified as a coward, to survive a lost battle when so many others died in defeat leaves a lingering feeling of contempt among his people. Though he is respected as a wise leader, not even his students fully respect his capabilities as a warrior. Seeing the adolescents under his care leave the caverns to find their fortune for themselves Thragos feels powerless to help his people maintain their roots and traditions and fear that the legacy of the Niferas is about to come to a close..
